“MANSON’S LOST GIRLS” FEATURING HOLLYWOOD’S NEXT GEN STARS MACKENZIE MAUZY, EDEN BROLIN, GREER GRAMMER AND CHRISTIAN MADSEN, PREMIERES FEBRUARY 6
LOS ANGELES, CA (January 4, 2016) – The psychedelic summer of 1969 comes to life in the Lifetime Original Movie, Manson’s Lost Girls, featuring the next generation of Hollywood stars MacKenzie Mauzy, (Into the Woods), Eden Brolin (I Dream Too Much), Greer Grammer (Awkward) and Christian Madsen (Divergent). Premiering Saturday, February 6 at 8pm ET/PT, the film paints a new picture of Charles Manson’s (Jeff Ward, The Mentalist) world, as told through the stories of Linda Kasabian (Mauzy) and the other women who fell under his demonic spell to create one of the most famous cults of all time. Brolin stars as Susan Atkins, Grammer is Leslie Van Houten, Madsen portrays Tex Watson, Grace Victoria Cox (Under the Dome) is Lynnette “Squeaky” Fromme, Isabel Shill (Orange is the New Black) stars as Patricia Krenwinkel and Garrett Coffey (Battle for Skyark) is Bobby Beausoleil.
Manson’s Lost Girls follows Linda as she first arrives at the seemingly idyllic Spahn Ranch hippie commune where she is embraced with open arms. Seduced by the group’s free-love lifestyle, Linda revels in the sisterhood and acceptance. Taken with Manson, he soon draws her into criminal activities, including late-night “creepy crawls” to steal from lavish homes. Linda reluctantly becomes an accomplice in Manson’s “Helter Skelter,” a drug-fueled murder spree that included the brutal death of actress Sharon Tate. She ultimately breaks away and turns herself in as a witness for the prosecution and helps to convict Manson.
With original 1960’s music from iconic bands such as Donovan, The Turtles and CCR, the film captures the bohemian clothing, hairstyles and makeup of the time.
Manson’s Lost Girls is produced by Asylum Entertainment with Emmy(R) Award-winning Steven Michaels and Jonathan Koch (The Secret Life of Marilyn Monroe) and Nancy Bennett (The Red Tent) serving as executive producers. Leslie Libman (NCIS) directed from a script written by Matthew Tabak (Plain Truth) and Stephen Kronish (The Secret Life of Marilyn Monroe).
Asylum Entertainment has produced a diverse slate of television programming and feature films including the recent miniseries The Secret Life of Marilyn Monroe and The Kennedys, which won four Emmy Awards. Asylum recently produced the feature documentary Happy Valley, about the Penn State sex scandal, and the coming-of-age feature Small Time.
Asylum’s factual series include ESPN’s Emmy-winning series 30 For 30, Beverly Hills Pawn, Addicted and American Gangster. In April 2014 the company became a wholly-owned division of Legendary Entertainment.

Two months ago we brought you the news that the ABC-aired 2014 series Forever – starring Ioan Gruffudd, Alana de la Garza, and Judd Hirsch – was being prepared for DVD release. Show creator Matt Miller had said back then on Twitter that the set, “will be released in states pre-Xmas and int’t after Jan 1!”
Now we’ve gotten word from the studio that Forever will be released in the United States via the Warner Archive Collection, as an MOD (manufacture on demand) title, available in the near future. Will it be out before Christmas, though, as Miller has said? No, sorry, it won’t make it under the tree. Our contact with the Warner Archive informs us that this item won’t be available until 2016. A specific date for this MOD release in the States has not yet be finalized.
However, things are a bit different north of the border. Warner Home Entertainment of Canada hasn’t officially announced the title yet, but this morning we received word from our friends up north, in Canada’s home video retail industry, that the first (and only) season of Forever will be available in stores on DVD beginning January 19th in Canada. Package art, pricing and details aren’t available yet, however, since the studio has not made it official.
Nor is box art, cost or detailed info available for the State-side Warner Archives release, either. But this split-method release between the two countries isn’t the first of its type: Mom – The Complete 2nd Season – an award-winning sitcom currently airing on the CBS network – was similarly released differently in each country just this past month, with the releases in each nation two weeks apart from each other. It’s possible that the USA and Canadian release dates of Forever will also be on different dates, but that’s yet to be determined.

Billy Magnussen and Mackenzie Mauzy, both seen in the “Into the Woods” film, will join “American Horror Story” star Finn Wittrock in a Feb. 9 industry reading of Diana Amsterdam’s new play The Dodgers, about a group of musicians and friends facing the Vietnam draft lottery.
Wittrock, Magnussen and Mauzy are joined by Hannah Bos (The Open House), Greg Hildreth (Peter and The Starcatcher) and Preston Sadleir (Next to Normal) in the reading, to be held at the Davenport Theatre. Dave Solomon directs.
According to press notes, the play, by Amsterdam (Fast Girls, Carnival Round the Central Figure), “examines the ramifications of the Vietnam draft from a unique and intimate perspective. When two members of the band pull low numbers, one is forced to choose between an unthinkable dodge and an amoral war. This choice tests his sense of brotherhood, and shatters his idealism – ending the mythic sixties.”
The reading will be presented by Ashley Kate Adams of AKA Studio Productions (“Rules of Cool,” “photo op”). The general manager for the reading is Evan Bernardin, and the stage manager is Melanie T. Morgan.
